MeltonMods - Wii Modchips - WiiKey2

Older units (serials earlier than LAH10216xxx) are fitted with a Wiikey compatible flashed with the latest firmware (1.9s) - $50. CLICK HERE for details.

Newer units (serial number LAH10216xxx and higher) are fitted with a Wiikey 2 modchip for $100.

Newest units are fitted with a DriveKey modchip for $120.

(Firmware of Wii is also updated to the newest available version as part of the service!)
Modifying the Wii will allow the console to boot backup games, and to boot games from other regions which normally would not work on your console.

The modchip used and recommended by Meltonmods for D2E units is the Wiikey 2.

    The cost for modifying an Wii is $100 which includes the modchip, a lifetime warranty, and upgrading of your Wii's firmware to the latest version.

    NOTE: If you insert a game from another region and it requests to update your Wii then there is a chance your Wii will be 'bricked' (broken) if you allow the process to continue. The best way to avoid this problem is to keep your Wii always updated with the latest firmware.
